Energy Future and the Path to a Low-Carbon Society

The world, including Slovenia, is marked by climate change, making it our paramount task to reduce environmental impacts. The energy sector holds the greatest potential to contribute to this goal. Slovenian energy experts feel both a responsibility and a duty to identify the most effective path toward a low-carbon future. Such an extensive transition can only be achieved through well-crafted strategies, investments in development and innovation, and the unified collaboration of all sectors within the energy industry—an industry that, until recently, was relatively fragmented. Achieving these ambitious goals requires the cooperation of diverse energy professionals.

The aim of the conference is to provide Slovenian policymakers and the public with a comprehensive perspective on the future development of the energy sector as a whole. The conference will address all areas influencing the state, development, and objectives of the energy sector, including sustainable energy sources, networks, electricity, gas, heating and cooling supply, economic and societal aspects, the role of energy consumers, and the development of transport in connection with energy.

A key focus will be placed on the energy and economic efficiency of energy supply. Special attention will be given to every link in the energy supply chain, from production to transmission, distribution, and end use.
