Sanela Banović, M.D.: How to boost trust in yourself and in your fellow human beings

Life isn't always easy, but it can be easier if we follow a few basic guidelines. The first is to educate ourselves a little about the functioning of our bodies. The second is to listen to ourselves and take care of our own happiness. Only happy parents can have happy children and satisfying relationships. The third is to remember to listen to the people around you and to respect the small wishes of those closest to you. The fourth, to stop waiting for something to happen. That others will change. That the right time is yet to come. Now is the right time. And the fifth is to trust. To believe in ourselves. Our closest ones. Everyman.


 

Sanela Banović is a young doctor working at the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana. She spent the beginning of 2020 at the Covid clinic and 2021 on maternity leave. In the meantime, she has written a book with Jure Aleksič entitled Incentives, presenting the six foundations of the house of health: touch, movement, communication, socialising, sex and sleep. She is interested in the meaning of happiness and life satisfaction. She wants people to realise the importance of striving for a positive way of thinking, which requires one to learn how to listen carefully to oneself. Her greatest passion is talking about the emotional brain.
